SLEEP

It's summer and i'll fall asleep on a slab of rock wearing what looks like a worn out and shrunken Goth-Santa coat if I want to! Fuck you, man!

Midnight City - M83 This track by an electronic/dream pop act from France (named after spiral galaxy Messier 83) has the coolest sounding hook I've heard in a while. Your ears go all, "what the fuck?," and then boom, you've been dragged in. Interestingly enough, it ends with a saxophone solo. Guess you're not the only one, Lady Caca!

Lotus Flower (Jacques Greene RMX) -Radiohead This is shleepy, alright. You already love Radioheard, so it's convenient when some fucking asshole comes in and remixes the shit out of 'em and makes it okay to listen to an album already a few months old. Just kidding. We like those assholes. They make life bearable.

Legendary Weapons (feat. Ghostface Killah, AZ & M.O.P.) - Wu-Tang Clan Accompanied by AZ, the great MC, Ghostface Killah is actually the only Wu-Tang member featured on this track. You bet your ass this is the one and only time you'll ever consider Wu-Tang something suitable to slip into REM sleep to. Hint: blaze with this.

Country Roads (Pretty Lights Remix) - John Denver So you see the name John Denver and ask yourself what the fuck my problem is, but then you realize Pretty Lights got their hands on this and resume the fetal position, realizing I am your mother and you need me to survive. You're welcome. It's dubstep (not really... it's chillstep) you can daydream and regular dream to. So go back to bed you fucking baby.

Careless Teens - The Bilinda Butchers Hey, have some nostalgia pop from San Francisco. The duo says their sound is imbued with tones of "romantic uncertainty and sorrow." That's true. But I also know for a fact that, apropos, you're probably a careless teen yourself and that this will be in your iTunes in 30 seconds. Ready, set, hoe.

Silly Thoughts (Balam Acab remix) - Mathieu Santos You guessed it first: isn't Mathieu Santos the bassist for Ra Ra Riot? Well, that's exactly who he is, but you definitely didn't know that. Behold, his solo project. Guess he got tired of lurking around aimlessly in the background? Or of getting laid so much painfully less frequently than Wes and Milo? Probably, considering most girls still pronounce "bass" like the fucking fish.

Okay, James Franco. We get it. You think you can do everything. But can you, really? (Note: he's teaching a class at NYU for graduate film students. He makes them compile/edit a film using footage of... James Franco. It's literally a class taught by James Franco... about James Franco. Just kidding that's a rumor. It's about some poet.) Actor, writer, academic, and now... musician? But who am I to say if it's good or not? It's not like I run a website or anything...! Fuck it. You guys decide.

SLEEP

FUCK YOU
if you skip the sleep posts. I do not think you can fathom the immensity of the sandpaper dildo I will shove up your ass if you don't start checking them this instant you fuckin' fuck. Everyone sleeps, vegetates, and gets hella' high. And you know you damn well need epic melodies and glorious tunes to complete all of those difficult activities. Yeah, you're welcome, sonnnn.
And now, da tunage!

Semblance of Sound - DJ BAHLER I sorta dig DJ Bahler. He reminds me of growing up. Of the time before I was a full-flex "music snob" as they're calling us. Funny thing is, I listen to shit by broke and struggling artists that may never make it big. Ever. So explain again how that is "snobby," at all? Kinda the opposite, I think. So tell that to the haters listening to Nicki Minaj on vinyl. Suck a dick, Urban Outfitters. (Bonus: this track features Fuse by Hudson Mowhawke. If you wanna be a real "snob," get into experimental hip hop-- now.)

Breathe Me (Butch Clancy Remix) - Sia Delicious. From Detroit, Michigan, this dubstep/elecro/experimental-focused Butch Clancy character never fails. And if you think he does, it's you that's failing. Win to this.

Moonlight Sonata (Sound Remedy Remix) - Beethoven I live for remixes of classical music. But since they're to die for, I guess I "die" for them? Anyway, Sound Remedy pulled off some serious Wolfgang Gartner shit. Hats off.

Why Even Try (RAC Remix) - Theophilus London True or False: When you see the word "Remix," 5 out of 10 times it has the letters "RAC" sitting right before it. True, and you love it. Another track by Theophilus London, my favorite. Vocals by him and some chick, plus nice piano instrumentals and sweet chimes.

Everything To Me - LIPS Songs LIPS is from New Zealand. And she's Brooklyn-based. And she has a delicious voice. And and she does everything by herself. Seriously, she's a one-chick show. Props? Props.

The Broken Places (Extended Version) - Moby I decided you only deserve to listen to this if you made it to the end. And you did. Moby means true emotion. He's all about authentic harmonies that transcend the limits of technical manipulation because his gift (and it is a gift) seemingly effortlessly allows for the creation of aural aesthetics (as if by electro-divine providence) that need not be called "eargasmic," because words will just never suffice. Hot damn, I sure can bullshit.

SLEEP

YO! Forgive the lack of posts. The crew is out SFPing all over the globe. You know how we do ;)
And now, for the dazed tunes.
The A Team (Koan Sound Remix) - Ed Sheeran You fucking guessed it. I'm starting you off with some chillstep. It's the kind of fix dubbers anonymous want and need when they're trying to slip into a trance-like state without raging their brains out. Soothing male vocals straight from me to you.
Keep You - Class Actress Amazing artist from Brooklyn. They say it's "Depeche Mode meets early Madonna and Five Star as played on KTY Radio in the leather baxkseat of a cab." Well said.

Careful What You Say - Class Actress More poppy Brooklyn female vocals and a retro-sound you can only love or adore, whore.

Brokendate- Com Truise Com Truise is gettin' big, and I lurve it. Shit's so dope. Dude's from Princeton, New Jersey. specializing in electro, new wave, and broken record sounds. It's like he's on an Ission Mimpossible and he's made the cut. (Big time.)

Black Water - Apparat Electronic/experimental/indie from Berlin, Germany (I mean, is there a Berlin anywhere else? One that matters? Yeah I should've just said "Berlin." I'm sorry I can't be perfect, mom). Check out the video all the way down there. It's made from footage taken from the 1984 film, "Paris, Texas." Wait that's funny 'cus the title is about a Paris NOT in France. Shit I'm so fucking punny, maybe I am perfect.

Mirrors (Cosmic Kids Remix) - Superhumanoids Just shut the fuck up and listen to this. It's from the city of Angels and that's all you nee to know. GO TO SLEEP.

FUCK

I don't know where you're at, but where I'm at (Miami), it's a rainy, cloudy, dark day. But that's not always a shitty thing. Tacit or not, I think we should all know cloudy days spent outside are nothing more and nothing less than: Secret Orgy Days.
See what I mean? Yeah, you'd never guess it...'til now. (boom)
(and in case you haven't already, click Like on the Facebook plugin box to the right, dammit!)

Bang Her (Original Mix) - James Kennedy So you can tell why I put this particular electro track first. The title really couldn't get any more next level.

We Came To Smash - Martin Solveig feat. Dev Behold, the latest track to be released off Solveig's new album, Smash. And remember Dev? Oh yeah, she's the bitch from 'Bass Down Low.' Pussy smash to this.

Hop On Hop Off (Pascal & Pearce Remix) - Goodluck and Hop On Hop Off  (Swanky Tunes Remix) - Goodluck Please oh please, listen on the lyrics more than anything. It really doesn't get any more real than this. The first has a total 1920's swag (shout-out to all of you who actually went to see Midnight in Paris) while the second screams electro-house-banger. Catch them both. You know you love SFP.  +++

Empty Streets (Abel Ramos Mix Short Edit) - Kaskade (feat. Becky Jean Williams) Officially released 6 fucking hours ago on  Kaskade's Soundcloud. Lyrical preview: "If love's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open, if we make it I won't see-- how it's broken." Sweet but real talk.

Pandemonium (Original Mix) - David Guetta & Afrojack Feat. Carmen I know what you're thinking, this isn't the type of shit I ever post. Sure, I post some Guetta, some Afrojack, some Carmen (just kidding... who the fuck is Carmen?) but for starters, the "wooooo" vocals sound like some bullshit you hear on the radio, but hell It's only about two days new and if you wait a bit, the part where you can tell Afrojack comes in is HEAVY. (Admit you love it, slut!)

Chupacabra (Original Mix) - Motobu A hard-hitting electro banger straight from me to you. All I have to say is, when you're listening to this with him or her-- act like a chupacabra!

Dead Scrapyard (Original Mix) - Devin Martin I really like this. And when the guitar comes in, you know it's go time. The concentrated final build up from about 1:40 to 1:56 is ridiculously sexy and that coupled with the drop at 1:59, just before the minute mark hits, will kill you. Plus, the male vocals yelling "it's alive" freak you out, you fucking freak in the sack. Climax to this.

I Hate You (D.R.A.M.A. Remix) - Erxon, Spinne Feat. LeeLooJamais Sounds like nothing else on this post. It's brazed with tight female vocals, but I'll let you hear for yourself. (Oh yeah, this is what she'll be "serenading" you with if you don't call her back, so be a man and please do so? Thanks.)

And finally, you two cool off to this together. You've earned it. And if you're diggin' these sexy female vocals, download them here (full track).
Bonobo - Stay The Same ft. Andreya Triana (Soundsome Remix) by Soundsome

You'll never look at nuns the same way (...or nuns' buns, for that matter).

SLEEP

Heartbeats (Cosmonaut Grechko Edit) - Ellie Goulding A little while ago, Goulding released a cover of The Knife's "Heartbeats." But this is better. Sweeter melody, and some nice synths.

Broken Lungs (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) - Thrice Fuck yeah, Adventure Club. Fire-ass chillstep remix. Love the clipped vocals and mellifluous beats. Lose your breath to this. +++

Parting Ways, My Way - Retrotation A friend sent this to me. I have no idea what it is or where it came from, so behold the soundcloud description: "The Parting Ways EP is about 3 artists coming together and each making their own beat to a single melody...this track in particular is inspired by Studio Ghibli (creator of Spirited Away, Princes Mononoke, etc.) Soon to be released on Vynl, all proceeds are donated to help Japan rebuild!" Ha. It's good.

And now for Tyler the Creator's new album. Much angier than Bastard, nikkkuhh. Shit was leaked about a week ago but fuck that.
Behold a sampler, and then some.

SLEEP

Last noite, I fell asleep for the first time in my life. I had heard crazy stories about this phenomenon before, but never believed a single fuckin' word. I know what you're thinking, WTF YOU CAN SLEEP ALL YOU WANT WHEN YOU'RE DEAD! But hey, you should try it. And this should help.

"Little Gangsta" Jay-Z/Radiohead - Fichenaffäre I know you've heard Radiohead's new album you music aficionado, you! It's "King of Limbs" and my fave track is "Little by Little"... but have you heard this? Yes, it sounds delicious against Jay-Z. Whoever thought of this, holla! I call it Thom-Z, or Jay-Yorke. Auno, nigga. +++

Armistice (RAC Remix) - Phoenix Oh, RAC. Why are you so great? Aunno. Sweet tales of sleepin' sonnnn. +++

The Trailer Song (Passion HiFi Dubstep Remix) - Dead Island Shit's the most beautiful chillstep track I have ever heard. Pianostep? Aunno. Anyway it's fuckin' glorious.

Children (Nhertz Dubstep Remix) - Robert Miles I don't even remember what that old song is called. (Auno.) It's old. And you've heard it. And you probably used to replay it a million times 'cus you were 9 and all you had on your iPod was Spice Girls and Destiny's Child. Here's the dubfix, bitch.

Slowdance (How To Dress Well Seance) - Matthew Dear I don't even know what this is or what dark vortex of love these vocals are trying to drag me into, but it's working. You might need to be really high to enjoy this. Auno. Just warning ya'. 'Cus it's my yob. AUNO, MAN!
