Humble Bones (Giraffage Remix) - Labyrinth Ear A San Fran remix of a London original. One of the best sleep tracks I've ever posted. You fade in and out of consciousness until you've been swallowed into the fourth dimension, and by then it's too late. Disclaimer: the vocals will actually change your life.  

Take Notice - Faws Dublin's Faws feature some jazzy keyboards, percussions, and grade-A funk for sampling on this one. Shlohmo fans will doubtless dig. 

Huron River Drive - Shigeto He's Japanese-American, Studied in NYC and London, and was raised on jazz and Motown. For this reason I think he and Nujabes would be kindred spirits. (Oh yeah this is the part where you overdose on Nujabes. R.I.P.).


Scary Dennis - Gap Dream Lo-fi rock you can blaze and pass out to. You'll feel like there's a giant hole in the middle of your gap dream but you're too lazy to even try to evoke REM. Dude, fuck you.

Cassettes - InkShips The first time I heard this jumped into a pile of powdered snow and thought to myself, "das wunderbar!" It's bubbly ambient pop laced laced with high pitched vocals to complement! WOO!

Good Love (Stay+ Remix) - Miracle A heavy and dark synthpop remix by one of my favorite bands, Stay+, who nobody's ever fucking heard of and about whom it's impossible to find any info on. So I'll just imagine they're from Antarctica and they just drop acid and dance around aurora borealis and host orgies.

Parentheses (PVT Remix) - The Antlers Brooklyn-based and indie swaggin' bawsses the Anlters have released this and are hitting us with their new EP soon, of which this is the opening track. 

California Birds (ABADABAD Cover) - Keep Shelly in Athens Perfectly fucking ethereal. Basically the soundtrack of the axis mundi. Also, the music video (click) is awesome because it features an adorable little girl running around in a graveyard. Yethhhhir.

I Just Saw (Raleigh Moncrief Cover) - Baths A nice cover of a California-based "avant-popster." Raleigh Moncrief is also "California-based avant-popster." Wonderfully redundant and meta-something?! Yeah.

Bonus: New lyrics: "Don't know what to do, don't know what to say/ so I'll just go home and play." And I'm diggin' the album artwork so hard.

Over a year ago they brought us the Notorious xx (that is, Biggie Smalls vs. The xx) and we all jizzed simultaneously and exalted them as geniuses, zeitgeists if you will. Well they're back with this Nas + Washed Out mix. Fuck yes.

Purple Swag (Jim-E Stack Bootleg) - ASAP Rocky We'll keep a lookout for Jim-E stack's debut EP coming out soon. This reminds me of a fusion between Still Tippin', the sounds of Salem, and something else I'll think of later. +++

Det Haster! - Casiokids From a Norwegian synthpop ensemble that knows whats up. Sounds like Röyksopp but more trill.  

As Young as Yesterday (Panda Bear Remix) - Korallreven It's new age and hypnotic and you dig it. It's like a blanket of light wrapping you up and laying you down on an oxycotton candy cloud and then you fall through a hole you ate out into a river and you're surrounded by river mermaids and the rest is up to you...

Dreamcatcher - Sad Souls This is pretty. Sad Souls is from Ann Arbor and you can't listen to this unless you're sedated or in that last millisecond before you slip into REM. You're welcome.
