SLEEP

Hulkshare is down so whatever.

SiriusXM Chill Mix - Hard Mix Cool drums, beautiful acoustics, and hazy vocals for a full 34 minutes. Wait.. isn't that exactly how long it takes you to fall asleep? You're welcome.

I've Got Them - Hard Mix This dude messes around with bubbly vocals samples, makes serious love to the cymbals on his kit, and incorporates the sunshine state of mind into his all-too-playful synth arrangement.

Round & Round (Little Loud Remix) - Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti Ariel Pink is king and this is a gem. "Na-na-na-na" forever.

And the latest track by Curt Chav. Pure honey. +

SLEEP

Fuck all y'aall

Kissin' Pink (feat. ASAP Ferg) (prod. Beautiful Lou) - ASAP Rocky Best track I've heard all week. Real talk. Belongs in the sleep, fuck, AND party categories. Download HERE.  +++

Cassettes - InkShips The first time I heard this jumped into a pile of powdered snow and thought to myself, "das wunderbar!" It's bubbly ambient pop laced laced with high pitched vocals to complement! WOO!

Good Love (Stay+ Remix) - Miracle A heavy and dark synthpop remix by one of my favorite bands, Stay+, who nobody's ever fucking heard of and about whom it's impossible to find any info on. So I'll just imagine they're from Antarctica and they just drop acid and dance around aurora borealis and host orgies.

Parentheses (PVT Remix) - The Antlers Brooklyn-based and indie swaggin' bawsses the Anlters have released this and are hitting us with their new EP soon, of which this is the opening track.

California Birds (ABADABAD Cover) - Keep Shelly in Athens Perfectly fucking ethereal. Basically the soundtrack of the axis mundi. Also, the music video (click) is awesome because it features an adorable little girl running around in a graveyard. Yethhhhir.

I Just Saw (Raleigh Moncrief Cover) - Baths A nice cover of a California-based "avant-popster." Raleigh Moncrief is also "California-based avant-popster." Wonderfully redundant and meta-something?! Yeah.

SLEEP

Sleep in the nude or you ain't shit.
VCR (The xx Cover) - The Antlers This shit cray. While the xx announced six days ago that they've started working on their second album, I give you this to help with the wait.

Amor Fati (Clams Casino Remix) - Washed Out That Within and Without shit you love, slowed down a few BPM, making for more soothing vocals. Spoon to this.

Kimmi in a Rice Field (Balam Acab Remix) - Twin Sister A remix to Twin Sister's debut LP, In Heaven. It's Experimental pop from Brooklyn that you dig more than ever because beatmaker Balam Acab drowned it.

Kimmi in a Rice Field (Glitter Bones Remix) - Twin Sister Glitter Bones? An unsigned duo from Chicago who describes their genre as fantasy and "the swinging sound of hoop earrings." Sounds accurate to me. Check it out for yo'self.

Keep Me There - Nicolas Jaar From our favorite American-Chilean musician. Did you know: he's currently studying comparative literature at Brown University. My guess is he blazes all day, makes music, and then pretends to read books when in actuality, he's ripping out the pages to use as rolling paper.

Time For Us - Nicolas Jaar This one has less of a tango sound to it and more of an indie bullshit sound. The male vocals are as hypnotic as it gets. Did we mention Jaar is the founder of his own record label? Yeah, that's Clown and Sunset, bitch.

Balance - Future Islands Pop from Baltimore, MD created by artists who claim to draw their influence from cloudy days and love.

Miranda (School Of Seven Bells Remix) - Surfer Blood Dreamy chimes infused with vaguely mechanical clanking and "demonic synths."

Here's the video for "Kimmi in a Rice Field." It's probably kind of creepy and I'm probably a freak so there's that.

Shleeeeeepin' it,

SLEEP

Move the Stars - Blood Diamonds A dreamy new track by Vancouver producer Blood Diamonds, realeased on BD's latest album, Transparent. The vocals are as cute as it gets.

Hornet's Nest - Jonti Might be a little too hyper but if you're chroming it's good. From Jonti's newest album, Twirligig. He's Australian, he's young, and he's worked with Santigold and Mark Ronson. Download it HERE.

Romantic Streams (Damu Remix) - Sleep Over I'm pretty sure this song marks SFP bringing you every existent remix of "Romantic Streams." And now, a beat-heavy refix by Manchester producer Damu.

American Daydream - Electric Guest A chorus-driven delicacy crafted by a Los Angeles duo signed to Downtown Records. They rocked CMJ in New York City last month, so there's that.

Cough Syrup (Ra Ra Riot Remix) - Young the Giant "I'm losing my mind, losing my mind, losing it all." This is so 80s, enjoy it betch.

Swim (Oh No Shlohmo remix) - Oh No Ono Well it's Shlohmo so there ya go. Plus the vocals are delicious, and the chimes-- fantastical.

Just Us - Shlohmo From his latest album, Bad Vibes. Dreamy-ass vocals that might as well be lacing Balam Acab tracks. Whatever.

It Was Whatever - Shlohmo Also from Bad Vibes. Makes me feel like I'm walking along a river in Japan under one of those crazy trees with pink flowers.

xx,
amadZ and Mayela H.

SLEEP

Sun (Midland Re-Edit) - Caribou Apparently this is by Caribou, not Washed out (thanks to whoever commented), so please edit in your iTunes yo.

Gobstopper (No Games Remix) - J Dilla Sounds like "Finally Moving" by Pretty Lights. And c'mon, it's J Dilla. Big names to go with big games.

Acid Raindrops - People Under the Stairs "Mary jane invades my brain, now I can't complain. I'm saying' what else is there to do besides relaxes. Let the problems in your minds become ancient artifacts. Perhaps these raps can help you alleviate."

Big (Nicolas Jaar Version) - Sneaky Sound System Starts off like "15 Step" by Radiohead and then breaks off with the more effeminate and pained vocals. I don't know why but I feel like the singer is naked and cold as she sings of "always" being "by your side."

Tonight, Tonight, Tonight (Edit) - Low Roar Low Roar? Five dudes from Reykjavík, Iceland who wanted to make a fucking record. Starts off like "Koyaanisqatsi" by Philip Glass (but I only know that 'cus I'm a freak), and then gets more indie as opposed to Gregorian chant meets Satan. Wunderbar male vocals, by the way.

Fre$ca - North Highlands I don't really know what this is or what it means to me. From a Brooklyn band whose members identify their interests as: stick and poke tattoos, post industrial shanty towns, friends, ever, and sandwiches.

Silent Night - Class Actress
This is cheesy and not my style and I hate the Christmas hype, but I do love Class Actress and she does have ones of the softest voices around right now so here you go. Now shut the fuck up.

And finally:

A Noisey Week of Vice

pictures/words by : amadZ

My Wednesday night consisted of going to this Vice music experience and CMJ showcase presented by Supra NYC at Santos Party House, to which I was granted entrance with a press pass secured for Fade County coverage (yeah, I write for them too). Music aside, there were free rum cocktails (courtesy of Mount Gay Rum), the standard surplus of indie-rock nerds rocking the carefully disheveled look to stare down, and never-intimidatingly large cameras surrounding me on the front line occupied by photographers who get published on Pitchfork and such shitty publications that look up to us. (Oh and if you haven't been to Santos, definitely make it a point to check it out.)

Bonuses: 2 free Billy Boy condoms at the door
Style observations: green-eyed babe in leopard print shirt, ridiculous black hats that made me think, "Who the fuck do you think you are, Theophilus London?," superfluous denim jackets, lots of hair everywhere, more denim, more hair.
Artists whose performances I merely enjoyed: Caveman, Pujol, Fildlar
Artists who made me laugh until I threw up: Main Attrakionz
Artists I got annoyed of: Inc (30 minutes of mic checks and plugging in stupid cables as a prelude to an average performance is never okay)
Biggest multitasking bossman: Matthew Iwanusa of Caveman; dude sang, played drums, rocked the tambourine, and demanded more free rum for everyone!
Artists I fell disgustingly in love with: Twin Shadow

Twin Shadow

Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Florida, having struggled in Boston, and eventually making it in Brooklyn, Twin Shadow has gone through a lot to be named band of the week by Rolling Stone in October 2010, tour with Florence and the Machine and play at every major festival in 2011. When I first saw him in pictures, I thought the dude looked a little questionable with his funky hair and weird clothes. But upon seeing him two feet in front of my face, I came to realize that no one can get the blood rushing to my sex chakra like he can. Even the dude I was with thought he was good looking, and he's straight (no like, straight straight).
It took his crew a while to set up but after 10 minutes, the dude was just like "Alright, fuck everything. We're just gonna start the show. How 'bout that?"

Inc
Fidlar
The Fidlar dude in the middle was crazy. The last song they did was called "Cocaine," which he oh-so-gracefully performed by throwing himself on the ground and managing to simultaneously play guitar like an gallant invalid.

Main Attrakionz
Maybe it was the genre contrast or the ridiculous green rag the dude on the right kept tirelessly swatting around everywhere, but when these guys got on stage everyone started laughing like crazy. Myself included. After all the pictures, Rag Dude (who by the way was wearing Vietnamese prayer beads) legit exclaimed, "I feel like a movie star up here yo."
But the best part was a really intense and drunk white guy at the front who knew all the inaudible lyrics and kept burying his head in his arms (pictures here and here). Honestly all I heard the techy female vocals in one of their tracks saying was, "broccoli broccoli broccoli bro bro broccoli."

Bleached

Pujol

My only regret is that my initial +1 wasn't allowed in because she only had her NYU ID and so for the first half of the show I wasn't able to play "indie black guy" because I had nobody to punch. Wait, you haven't you heard? It's the new "punch buggie."

Keep on suckin!

SLEEP

"When I die, bury me in smoke." -B.H.
Life On The Nickel (Mansions On The Moon Remix) - Foster the People Honestly as a band they're really not that cool but the music's alright and I'm sure you guys like 'em so fuck all y'all...If anything I'm doing this to show that they're not exxxactly a one-trick-pony kinda thing (though they kinda are).

A Real Hero - College feat. Electric Youth I hope you have this already because it's from Drive and we all (even the guys) have sex with Ryan Gosling two or three times on average, per day, per capita, every day-- in our minds. (I like to pretend when I'm a bored, desensitized zombie on the subway (notably, the L-train), but that's besides the point.)

Paradise Circus - Massive Attack vs Burial Super mega, super next level dismal UK shit laced with sexy female vocals to lull you into the most wet dreams. Think of her as an aural succubus you needn't work hard to imagine (the soundscape does it for you).

An Iceberg Hurled Northward Through Clouds (Peaking Lights Vocal Remix) - Gold Panda Total dream music Fader found "psychedelically loopy" and accompanied by "tiny hands clapping." It's exactly that, plus you'll feel like the chick in the picture.

5th Ave - Gold Panda He's British and awesome and better than you, so here's more from Gold Panda. Reminds me a bit of Tycho.

Batteries May Drain - Steve Hauschildt As per a press release, the title of the album this track comes from, Tragedy & Geometry (out Nov. 14), refers to "Melpomene (Muse of Tragedy) & Polyhymnia (Muse of Geometry), or more specifically the collision/overlap of what they invoke." And I know you were all dying to know that!

Suave - Behind These Eyes One of my homies composed this. It's like chill classy-ass jazz (what my group of friends can only describe as "black as hell shit") you can relax to, but then all of a sudden, there's this insidious reverberating inkling of some primordial dubstep sound that seems to have seeped through all the acoustic improvisation.

This is brilliant so please pay for it, fucker? The assortment is by LA cassette label MJMJ (Two Michael Jordans) so BUY ALL 17 TRACKS BY A MILLION DIFFERENT ARTISTS HERE (or just toke up and listen).

SLEEP

Mondays suck, so pop an Ambien and sleep it off with us.
Video Games (BALAM ACAB Remix) - Lana Del Rey Sleep.Fuck.Party  loves Balam Acab more than life itself, as we do Lana Del Rey. So for the two to coexist on one aural plane? Surreal. You're very welcome and I know you fucking love us.

Palace Chalice - Mux Mool This sounds just like Gold Panda, like his track MPB (click now) to be precise. It's too dope to be describe with words. The dude started in Brooklyn. His new name's etymology? Mux is short for 'multiplexing' (streaming varied data through a single channel), and Mool comes from "Chac-Mool," an ancient Meso-American statue of a reclining man. Phewf. That was for the nerds.

Seriously - Shlohmo I spend a large part of my life whispering "fuck yeah, Shlohmo" to myself. While that isn't remotely true, I wish it were and you just believe it. It's got his signature eclectic experimental hip-hop sound you've come to love. We force-feed you the dopeness until it's sweet, and it always is.

Elegy - Tycho Ambient, electro, downtempo: those are the genres Tycho has mastered while you sit on your ass popping the Ambien we just told you to take. Oops? Oops. Anyhow, Ghostly International's San Francisco-Based man has managed to convey his purity of spirit yet again in "Elegy."

There (Stumbleine Remix) - Sun Glitters Next-level chillwave that sounds like a more girly Balam Acab. Nice piano riffs, far-off female vocals, and pure, grade-A haziness with a touch of R&B reworking. Nod your head in slow motion to this 'til you pass the fuck out!

xx,

FUCK

Part I:
And now, for some great make-out soundscapes, fuck tunes, and a fire album we can't remember why we never posted.

Desire (Alert™ Rmx) ††† - Modern Witch Introducing the sexiest song I've heard in a long time. And if that doesn't get you off, check out the video HERE.

Play (Los Rakas Remix) - Goapele Just 'cus I'm like eh-super hispanic and I need some dude to serenade me with this shit. No but actually, this is trill as fuck and you'll need it to get down form now on.

Scissors (Tokimonsta Remix) - Eight and a Half From a new band just assembled from the ash-- that is, fractions of Broken Social Scene and The Stills. An indie-rock anthem turned electronic, because all worthwhile things eventually do.

Goodbye Horses (Q Lazzarus Cover) - Kele This one might be more likely to be a favorite of the girls. Sounds like a slightly re-vamped 80s tune. It was your mom's favorite song but then you took it from her and told her to go fuck herself because you were gonna modernize it. And you did. And now you're a dirty whore and you make drunk (not) love to it.

xx,
amadZ

Part II:

Spitfire by Porter Robinson:
See this picture? That's more or less how I'm going to look the 22nd when I go see Porter live in Baltimore! I went through the album pretty quickly and we've been digging it for a while, playing it all the way through and keeping running through my room. It's got good, hard vibes. He's a dope young DJ signed to Skrillex's label so you know it's legit. Keep and eye out and enjoy the jams!

SLEEP

Take a Hump Day nap before the weekend. You owe it to yourself.

Vow (Diplo & Lunice remix) - Julianna Barwick Julianna Barwick's original "Vow" from 2011's The Magic Place was sexxxified by Diplo & Lunice just for us. C'mon kids, say "thank you Dipl-oh!" +++

Shake It Out (The Weeknd Remix) - Florence & the Machine Seems we indiscriminately dig anything by Toronto's The Weekend but we don't; shit's consistently good. Smokey dark harmonies form me to you.

Don't Move - Phantogram Incredibly ethereal and delicious keyboard riffs and vocals. Catchy electro-pop that beckons "Keep your body still, keep your body still." But you can't. Download HERE. +++

Romantic Streams (Nguzunguzu Remix) - Sleep ∞ Over We've posted the Balam Acab remix before, and here's yet another entirely different and newer one by a dope L.A. duo, Nguzunguzu. How are you not Japanese!? Kidding.

THIRD EYE SIXTH SENSE - †‡† (Ritualz) More witchy shit to come by Ritualz. Broken speakers, drunken drums, drowned vocals chanting about everything and nothing, aaaaaand your mom.

Touch - HOLY OTHER A track from Manchester, UK that his borders on sexy. Wait, no. It is sexy. It's about "everything you touch (touch)."

Rever Fay - Modern Witch From inverting crosses to the first letters of stupid bands, Modern Witch has been tickling my nipples all month long. Plus, the Witch bitch is from Colorado/Amsterdam. Julia Roberts smiling.

PARTY

Looking for new writers!
e-mail me what type of music you're interesting in contributing/how often you can do it and a little info on yourself : amadz@SleepFuckParty.com

xx, Bacci and amadZ

Right Here With Me - Expo Relaxing pop laced with charming male vocals and fragile synths that make you wanna get drunk with your friends and hold hands and be cheesy and fuck each other.

Golden Age (JUSTICE Remix) - The Asteroids Galaxy Tour Good thing the NYC Asteroids Galaxy Oct. 4th show sold out (cuts wrists). Basically, Justice took the Danish pop band's shit and added in their signature funky guitar while retaining Mette Lindberg's craycray vocals. And she's probably pretty hot (<<< aka click that duhhh).

Syndicate - Skrillex New track by Skrilly which he created for the soundtrack of a video game he has been commissioned to compose (kind of like Mozart). The video game, titled Syndicate as well, will be released by EA on November 1st.

Syndicate (PockX Edit) - Skrillex And a nice remix. And by "nice" I mean you now have brain damage. You're welcome, always.

Pumped Up Kicks (Skeet Skeet Remix) - Foster the People The best remix of Pumped Up Kicks out there, to finalize your collection. And with that, we're done with this song. Thank you, BasedGod.

Brand New Bitch (Laidback Luke Remix) - Anjulie  Sexy female vocals slightly reminiscent of that 90s techno we used to listen to. Even if you were seven years old, you definitely heard it driving around South Beach, half asleep and being a little bitch. Shit's back and it's oh-so-cyclical.

Without You (R3hab's XS Remix) - David Guetta ft. Usher We like R3hab and that's pretty much it. Other than that, haven't heart anything but Usher in a while. Dope contrast between sweet lyrics and banger  pulsations though. Download HERE.

SLEEP

Sheelpy? I'm shleepy.

First of all, check out this new album by CHERUB, friends of the G-Spot Heroes and thus of SleepFuckParty, right here. It's pretty eclectic so browse through all of it to find something you dig.

Garden (Joe Goddard Remix) - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Electro/powerpop/techno with delicious vocals and beetz that induce simultaneous indie eargasms. And the main dude is a legit Native American. Check him out.

Glad I Met You - D. GOOKIN Funk/progressive from New Haven, Connecticut, obviously signed to an indie label. Very next level. Oh and the Facebook page has like nothing so don't be an asshole and help out.

Meantinme (RAC Mix) - Givers Catchy indie pop bullshit from Lafayette, LA. They're signed to Glassnote Records and you're impressed. Oh and it's nothing but in March 2011 they were named on of TIME's "Ten Acts That Rocked South by Southwest." But what is TIME anyway?

Bloom (Jamie XX Remix) - Radiohead The xx bandmember Jamie XX has remixxed Radiohead and it's pretty sweet but you are gonna pass out if you're not in bed already.

Boys Of Paradise - Unicorn Kid This dude is fucking 18 years old. His name is Scot Oliver Sabin and he makes 8-Bit pop while you sit around and jack off all day. Or get your nails done. Suck it.

Blue Jeans - Lana Del Rey The artist? She's the singer-songwriter alter-ego of Lizzy Grant. The genre? Hollywood pop & sad core. The verdict? I can dig.

And I didn't think there'd be any remixes of it out there, much less a dubstep remix, but lo and behold, there is. And I love it. +++
