PARTY

You fux wit SFP? 'Cus we'll' fuck you up.

Super Funk - Nostalgia A funky disco sound accompanied by a hard hitting baseline to start you off, drag you in, and never let you go. That's right. I own your soul.

Breakn' a Sweat - Skrillex (feat. The Doors) Skrillex pushin' the envelope with this interesting collab. Reminds me of the Pretty Lights vs. Led Zeppelin track we posted a while back. Si se puede means yes I can. Download HERE.

Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix) - Duck Sauce Any remix of Big Bad Wolf makes me wanna cream myself and fly to the moon and die there. This one's a little more acid-rave than most. You're welcome.

Strobe (Special Features Remix) - Deadmau5 A new remix of a Deadmau5 track you've come to love. Stars off adorably so you might as well love everyone around you to this.

Alive (Electro Banger Remix) - Dirty South & Thomas Gold feat. Kate Elsworth I dig the original because of the vocals. Like how fucking hot does Kate Elsworth sound? Well, she is (click).

Overwerk personally sent their newest EP over. We can dig.

FUCK + A MINDBLOWING PERFORMANCE FROM DEADMAU5, FEED ME, A-TRAK & FATBOY SLIM

Part I:
Take me back.  Take me back to Halloween, to the crazy fucking weekend that just passed, to raging my face off at Deadmau5 in San Francisco . . . because I seem to be having some difficulty readjusting to real life -- and I know most of you fuckers are probably feeling the same way. So you know what? Get ready to get down with some filthy beats, and then I'll take you back with me. Back in time to Saturday night to relive all the madness. Here we go.

I Need To Feel Dangerously Alive (Kane Michael's Mega Smashup) - Dirty South & Thomas Gold vs James Blunt vs Loops of Fury Posted this massive smashup on our Facebook page last week; so no worries if you missed it. I mean, it's not like it's kinda fucking epic or anything.

We Found Love (Chuckie Remix) - Rihanna feat Calvin Harris Rihanna's girly, pop-infused sound combines with Calvin Harris' euphoric beat to create an instant hit, while Chuckie's remix dominates the track to drop an eargasm far more satisfying than the original. Yuuup, you pretty much can't help but smile when you hear it.

Happy Violence (Kaskade Remix) - Dada Life Not only were we here at SleepFuckParty™ already obsessed with this banger (and the several versions of it previously released), but Kaskade just takes it to the next level . . . as always. Enjoy the fuck out of this.

Dark Side Of The Tomahawk (Myon & Shane 54 Mashup) - BT & Adam K. vs Ernesto vs Bastian Yeah, in case you couldn't tell -- I'm kinda sorta addicted to mashups. Not a lot tho, just a lil bit. (Oh who am I kidding here . . . I fucking love them.) This one starts off slow, then picks up just in time to blow your mind. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Helena Beat (Lenno Remix) - Foster the People More funky beats and feel good vibes coming your way from Foster the People.

City Kids - Mustard Pimp feat Dirtyphonics It's a difficult task to describe Mustard Pimp's sound in one genre; their music, along with the addition of Dirtyphonics, is a distinct and refreshing mix of hard electro, dubstep and house. "Society has rules, you know," the song goes. "Ha! We don't wag our tails for anyone." Bring on the filth and bass, baby.

Beautician 2.0 - Dillon Francis Beautiful remake of an already amazing song. By slowing it down and chilling it out, Dillon Francis amplifies the beat and delivers Beautician 2.0. Let me just say that you're killin it, Dillon. Killin it.

Trust Issues (OVOXO Remix) - Drake x The Weeknd Ch-ch-check out Drake's new shit -- OVOXO is his Canadian-based collabo with the Weeknd. OVO stands for Drake's part in the group, "October's Very Own", while the XO is the Weeknd's counterpart; an X for a kiss, O for a hug. Pretty fucking dope.

And finally, I went to see AC Slater in SF last Wednesday; he rocked EPR hard (Electro Pop Rocks, a popular electronic event that takes place weekly in the city). "I don't waste time with the bassline" -- well, you heard him! And you know I love bass. o_O

Bassline Time - AC Slater by acslater

Part II:
Ready for a trip down the rabbit hole with me? As we travel back in time to Saturday evening, to a night of pounding bass, flashing lights and trippy beats. Picture Deadmau5, A-Trak, Feed Me, and Fatboy Slim tearing it UP in the city of San Francisco. Now let me tell you all about it.

The night got off to an early start: the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium opened its doors around 5:15 to a crowd of excited ravers and partygoers all decked out in Halloween costumes and sparkly, fluorescent colors. Girls in cat ears and butterfly wings, glitter all over their faces; boys in bright neon shirts and (my personal favorite) guys walking around in mau5 heads, everyone pumped and ready for the epic and crazy night ahead of them.

By the time I got in at about 7:30, Feed Me was already playing. Past the main entrance out onto the dance floor overlooking a surprisingly small stage, the energy of the crowd just wasn't at its maximum potential; as much as I love me some Feed Me, it was still just too early to really get in the zone.

Though I can appreciate his dubby sound and filthy drops, it wasn't until halfway through A-Trak's set that the dance floor started to come to life. He dropped classic after classic -- like Daft Punk's Robot Rock and Barbara Streisand, just to get everyone going -- and when Heads Will Roll came on, the crowd went all-out nuts. Not to mention his remix of The Rapture's How Deep Is Your Love, another crowd pleaser.

Fatboy Slim opening with Praise You

When Fatboy Slim came on, though, the whole vibe of the event completely changed. They had re-done the stage after Feed Me and  A-Trak were done playing (which wasn't really fair to them in my opinion, but it is what it is). Just his opening itself blew me away. Suddenly the world became a hallucinogenic mess of color and light, playing in a swirling haze in the air; spooky images flickered on the screen as the song repeated, "What the Fuck." and the crowd sang along. That's all I could think -- "What the fuck is going on!?"

After images and psychedelic sweeps of color flashed through the air, imprinting themselves in my vision, not unlike a kaleidoscope. One of my favorite songs from his set, Push the Tempo, just filled the whole place with euphoria and left me smiling nonstop. After climbing the stairs to the seats overlooking the stage, I couldn't help but marvel at the auditorium's setup; by the time we could hear the first striking chords of Deadmau5's Where My Keys, the entire stage had been transformed.

My absolute favorite moment was when Sofi came out to perform Sofi Needs a Ladder. The girl is just way too fucking badass. As a friend of mine commented, "She's just on top of the world right now!" True that bitches.

It's no wonder he's such a famous DJ; Deadmau5's Meowingtons Hax Tour has been a complete and total fucking success. His music is an eclectic mix of hauntingly sweet notes with dirty, dubby lil wobbles interspersed throughout the melodies. The results are songs that both pump you up and chill you out, whatever you're feelin at the time. Which means this: Every beat he dropped -- Some ChordsMathsRaise Your Weapon (Noisia Remix), One Trick Pony (feat SOFI), and more -- was guaranteed to make the crowd go wild.

My only complaint was that the night ended way too early for me. The Mau5 stopped playing around 11:30, almost as if he were about to leave his fans begging for more. After hearing the crowd chant, "One more song! One more song!" He finally came back on to play until midnight. So many other DJ's of his fame and caliber go hard until at least 2 A.M. or later, so why such a fuss over playing until 12? My question to you, Mr. Mau5: Your fans can all hang. So why can't you?

Other than that, the night was absolutely unreal. Can't say I would mind jumping into a time machine and going back to do it all over again and again . . . and again.

Much love from your favorite degenerate,
Kimmy's Got Bass

FUCK

Yeah, you wish.

Love Electric (Marcus Maison & Will Dragen Remix) – Roma Pafos Dreamy lil progressive tune dropped by upcoming duo Marcus Maison and Will Dragen.  Pretty much perfect for that all-night cuddle sesh.  Or, uh… whatever else you might be in the mood for. ;)

Walking Alone feat Erik Hecht – Dirty South & Those Usual Suspects Fell in love with this low-key melody from Dirty South and Those Usual Suspects as soon as I heard it.  Whatever this Australian DJ/producer dream team are smoking down under, can’t say I would say no to some of that.

Pressure (Zomboy Remix) – Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji I know what you’re thinking: as good as it is, we’ve all heard this bangin’ summertime anthem.  Here’s what I’m thinking though… Not like this you haven’t.

I Wanna Go (Felix Cartal Bootleg) – Britney Spears // Felix Cartal Had to throw in Felix Cartal’s filthy bootleg of the ever-popular Britney Spears single.  Lay down his beat on her vocals and you get a complete fucking winner.  That’s right, you’re not taking this dirty lil slut home to mama anytime soon.

Hot Mess (23 Dubstep Remix) – Chromeo Get down to this funky shit.

Giving Me Life – SuperVision Chillwave straight off SuperVision’s debut album, Telescopic.  DJ and music producer Richard Blake Hansen, the mastermind behind SuperVision, just signed with the Pretty Lights label, so you already know he’s fucking legit.

All I Ask (OVERWERK Remix) – Silver Medallion This fresh new beat from Arizona native Silver Medallion is the perfect combo of electro, dubstep and hip-hop.

Midnight Run (Flux Pavilion Remix) – Example Looks like Flux is trying out some new sound with this release.  He tones the track down a notch by not going for his usual hard-hitting heavy dubstep, but still injecting it with enough bass to make your sound system shudder.  Try not to lick the speakers kiddies.  @___@

Flashback (Avicii’s Bootleg) – ID & Calvin Harris, Otto Knows This one’s got Avicii’s signature bubbly, exuberant cloud 9 sound written all over it.  Nothing left for you to do but hit play.  Then lay back, close your eyes, and enjoy.

Drunk Text feat Lea Luna – Manufactured Superstars Deliciously dirty and just an all-around good time.

Is You (Le Castle Vania Remix) – D.I.M. Funny story behind this one: Dylan Eiland, otherwise known as Le Castle Vania, finally dropped his dirty take on the track from D.I.M., after originally being asked to do it way back when it was released on Boys Noize Records in 2007.  Guess the guy forgot all about it up till March of this year.  Well, it’s all good cause he throws it down! Pulling off an epic remix of the classic, he makes us fall in love with it all over again.  Not to mention that the twists and turns of this gnarly beat make me feel like I’m trying to find my way through an electronic maze.  I just can’t resist the bass… or that funky cowbell.

Lookin for Sizzurp – Lil Wayne vs. Pretty Lights // DJ T3K Dooope mashup from DJ T3K.  He keeps the song upbeat by combining vocals from several Weezy favorites, while letting Pretty Lights do his thing with an underlying smooth electronic beat.  All I gotta say about this one is, Fuck yeah.

And of course I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Kaskade's new album, Fire & Ice, out October 25th. Can't fucking wait!

Sending dirty beats & good vibes,
-Kimmy's Got Bass

PARTY

welcome back once again to Sleep.Fuck.Party. Your place for the best jams.
Bacci here with a huge special edition Electric Zoo post. Enjoy, fuckers:

No Access (Original Mix) - Michael Woods : This guy is KILLIN IT!!!! Although I was only able to see the last 15 minutes of this guys set at Electric Zoo, I was in shock.. Michael woods is coming up extremely fast. Remember this guy.

Move for First Aid (Kaskade Mash-Up) - Michael Woods : Another fire Michael Woods track, mixed in with the vocals for Kaskade's "Move for Fe" this song is EPIC!!

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (Zedd Remix) - Skrillex : BEST remix of this song yet! Skrillex dropped this at the RedBull Riverside tent at Electric Zoo. I think I lost my mind. Not a dubstep track, but electro. It's fucking insane.

Calling (Original Mix) - Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso : This right here is one that's going down in the books. This track by none other than SHM member: Sebastian Ingrosso, and what they like to call "the new Avicii" : Alesso. Two major names in the industry collab-ing to form the most played track at Electric Zoo this past weekend.

Angel On My Shoulder Reaver 76 (Kaskade Mashup) - Kaskade, Tiesto, Marco V : Kaskade has been killing it with these mash-ups. Most of them were played all around people's sets at Electric Zoo. This one in particular is my favorite. Three amazing songs mashed up together to form some sick fucking shit. Check it!

Carry Me Home (Tommy Trash Remix) - Grant Smillie : Tommy Trash with another electro banger. Tiesto actually dropped this tune during his two hour set at Electric Zoo. This guy is definitely one to keep your eye on; he is gaining recognition by some of the biggest names in the industry pretty fast.

Fix You(r) Pressure (East n' Young Mashup) - Coldplay, Alesso : This mash-up was played by Steve Angello at the SIZE MATTERS pool party a couple of weeks ago, and i heard it about 4 different times at E-Zoo. It mixes pressure with fix you, brings a little goosebumps down my body... amazing.

Happy Violence (Original Mix) - Dada Life : The DADA is back with another heavy banger. This song is hard as fuckkk, then it gets soothing with some nice violin sounds. Typical dada, killing it as always.

Coming Home at 4AM (Kaskade Mashup) - Kaskade, Dirty South : ANOTHER mashup for you guys.. this one is sick, and really really chill. It's the beat of Coming Home with the vocals from Kaskade's "4AM" . Kaskade really killed it with all of these mash-ups. Very, VERY epic.

Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (Swedish House Mafia Remix) - Coldplay : last but not least... This song. Another masterpiece from the trio Swedish House Mafia. Another of coldplay's vocals being mixed with house tunes. This song is really amazing. That's all i have to say about it.

EXXXXTRA:

Today, Kaskade performed on Pete Tong's famous "BBC Radio 1" show, making an essential mix. One of the best one's ive ever heard. Kaskade has been KILLING it recently. Be  sure to check him out at ID fest, also avicii is added to the line up, in case you didnt know!!

Here are some photos from my trip to Electric Zoo:
