SLEEP

This post will start you off with a few tracks to doze off to as you lay in bed with that special someone you love (or met a few hours ago), and then send you on your way with a more up-beat temphoe as you drive home after that awkward breakfast you should never have to relive.

The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover) - Mr. Little Jeans Mr. Little Jeans is actually a Ms, and the story of how she got her pseudonym is the best part. If you're a Wes Anderson freak like myself, you know the Indian guy who does all his movies took on the character of Mr. Little Jeans in Rushmore. She claims he "makes [her] smile every time." Me too. This track is probably one of the most beautiful sounds I've heard all week. And who the fuck doesn't like Arcade fire? You know you love us.

No Diggity (Chet Faker Cover) - Blackstreet Cover of that mid-90s classic from a Melbourne based electro artist. It's much better than in the original. Musical innovation and what can only be described as boldness at its finest. Hear for yourself.

Lammicken - Braids Probably one of my favorite tracks. It's literally ethereal. Literally. Like it uses diethyl ether as a solvent, withers away your worldly concerns, and lulls you into the preternatural realm of sleep, and DMT, and lullified, sexxified love. Oh and it kind of sounds like a Fever Ray - Animal Collective hybrid; just sayin'.

The Whip (The Rapture Remix) - Locksley You know The Rapture. You love the rapture. You think you're cool 'cus you listen to The Rapture. Well here's your poison. Their multi-instrumentalist man, Gabriel Andruzzi, spun post-rock elements into the original, matching synths and claps to Lockley's rad rock n' roll vocals.

Get People - Away No, this isn't the misanthrope's anthem, though it can be if you're trying to get away from the chaos. Plug in your Bose headphones, tilt your head back, and get lost in this tropical indie blend.

First Snow (Ooah Remix) - Emancipator If you saw Emancipator at Coachella, you know it's for laid-back stoners with high spirits. Or not. Either way this is a great track for blazing. At least I think so (in my not-so-humble opinion ;).

Into Black - Blouse Check this up-and-coming Portland-based dream pop trio that just got signed by the Brooklyn label, Captured Tracks. Oh and check the unofficial video below, created by a troupe of Portland videographers who skillfully sampled scenes from the 1991 film Les Amands du Point-Neuf. Bonus: includes fireworks, strobe lights, and Juliette Binoche.

FUCK

That's me down there, except it's not actually me, but it's me in the way that it is me. Exxxactly.
xx, Opt!mus

Bromance (Cubism Remix) - Tim Berg I've always discarded Tim Berg's music, but this one's a dub remix, and to me, the wobbles restore all respect to the track with a hook that quickly became a cornerstone of the blurred weekends of one too many househeads. You better recognize.

Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Extended Remix) - Deadmau5 I don't know if it's the fact that at 16-years-old he's even younger than Earl Sweatshirt, or that he's French (French electro being my weakness), or that he dragged me over to the dark side of low-key Yelle-fanaticism, but  there's something about this prodigy of a producer that makes everything a bit more...Mad. Check it.

Got To Give It Up (Kill Them With Colour Remix) - Marvin Gaye Yeah, I know. You're fuckin' stoked. Didn't think you'd ever see the light of Marvin Gaye on SFP™ did you? Can you say doo-wop electro? Yesssum, and you very well should. And if you don't already know Kill Them With Colour from their KiD CuDi "Symphonies" remix, here's a taste of the classics: Colours (Original). KTWC-- yet another Canadian gem.

Have A Cigar (Wick-it Remix) - Pink Floyd These next two tracks are remixes by Wick-it The Instigator, the same dude who brought us the dubstep remix of Charlie Sheen's 'Tiger Blood' interview. If you love Pink Floyd (which you do), this will take you back. And I mean all the way back.

Get Ur Freak On (Wick-it Remix) - Missy Elliot A second "wicked" track from the complete other side of the gamut, or prism, for the sake of Pink Floyd (did I just reinvent an idiom? Think so.) Electronic hip-hop neva' hurt nobody.

Hi - Sound Remedy [Ft. Lily Allen] When I say "hi," what I really mean is "I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds...can you provide that...ummm...What's Your Name?" Get at me.

Sonora (Udachi Remix) - Johnny Love Grimies and not-so-gentlemen, I now present to you: Johnny Love. For a man who claims "the devil lives vicariously through [him]," you should already know and love him and all his personas. But in case you don't, here's a little taste of the not-quite-as-spicy side of his more recent project, DEATHFACE (Trouble & Bass, baby). +++

The Scientist (Coldplay Remix) - Mike Posner Posner does a great job remixing the classic version on this song and even gave it a little bit of a dubstep twisttt.

Dreams Money Can Buy - Drake Drake's newest solo track. He's too good of an artist, it's incredible.

Sleeping Lessons (RAC Remix) - The Shins The original is a great jam, but this remix by RAC takes its laidback style and intensifies it x1000009238r890169.

FUCK

See you bitchess at Girl Talk tomorrow, and I will see you. And now, the tunes for the fumes. This post is X-tra special, can't you tell? (;

Gimme The Loot (Superginger Dubstep Remix) - Notorious B.I.G. Don't second guess this. It's more than incredible. Takes you back to the long lost times of Biggie Smalls... wait, lost? That shit will never die. And now the new dubstep craze is helping us revive it this time around the hood.

Rolling in the Deep (Deathstar Remix feat. Marty Party & Minnesota) - Adelle Thick layers of fresh beats, basslines and ill harmonies culminating in an eargasmic experience of robot-like sex. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Move For Me (Santiago & Bushido Remix) - Kaskade ft. Deadmau5 Santiago & Bushido's tunes have been turning heads with their DJ sets and huge remixes. Get on this now, sonnn. Shit's international.

Sierre Leone (Getter Remix) - Mt Eden Remember the original? Of course you do. It was one of the first dubstep tracks you ever heard. This shit takes you back to the old days and carpet-womps you in the face.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time (Luke Da Duke Remix) - The Buckwheat Boys Takes you back to your childhood, rips it out from your hands, respectfully violates it, and serves it back to you. Dub is a dish best served cold. With bananas

Falling Star (R3K Remix) - KiD CuDi Woah. Woah. Woah. I think I'm in love. Therapeutically calm, delicious female vocals, and that immortal cudder sound you know and love.

It's Not Getting Any Better (Treasure Fingers Epicwave Remix) - Innerpartysystem This New York-based trio released the original track a while ago, and since then, many have remixxxed or revamped it, including Sidney Samson, Designer Drugs, and Sander Kleinenberg. This one's mad ill. Enjoy.

Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes - Look At Me Now (Dillon Francis Remix) by DILLONFRANCIS

PARTY

Still Gettin It (Ft. Foreign Beggars) - Skrillex Beautiful meshing of the U.K.'s Foreign Beggars and Skrillex's usual out-of-control shock and awe tactics. Must be blasted, at max volume.

Guilt (DallasK Remix) - Nero Tears up Nero. Beautiful female vocals. Go ahead and indulge, you fuckin' hedonist. We promise you won't feel guilty.

Save The World feat. John Martin (Original Mix) - Swedish House Mafia Behold, the ridiculously anticipated release of the SHM summer anthem. Sure to be played at every club you find yourself stumbling into this summer. Vocals by John Martin. Check it.

Pacifica (Chasing Shadows Remix) - Spor So sexy it makes me wish it was on a Fuck post. But it can't wait. Entrancing male vocals. Sort of lo-fi, making it all the more appealing in the dirtiest way possible. Woah. +++

Existence VIP - Excision & Downlink "Salvation is reserved for those who pass the test. If you survive, an elevated existence awaits. Initiate Phase I: Power up the bass cannon." Yeah, that pretty much sums up the track. It lends itself to some dubious kind of partying. It is the epitome of filth. Beware.

Love Ting (Them Jeans Remix) - Anna Lunoe & Wax Motif Groovy disco that takes you back... and I mean all the way back, to a time before you were even conceived, a time when your parents didn't have the privilege you all do of getting down to SFP.

NEW 80'S HOUSE MASHUP

Blugwanti Bass- DJ + This a little mashup I threw together after spinning at an all 80's birthday party. I remembered why everyone likes 80's music so I decided to do a modern day take on one of the 80's best pop songs "Blue Monday".

Let me know what you guys think.

SLEEP

Heartbeats (Cosmonaut Grechko Edit) - Ellie Goulding A little while ago, Goulding released a cover of The Knife's "Heartbeats." But this is better. Sweeter melody, and some nice synths.

Broken Lungs (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) - Thrice Fuck yeah, Adventure Club. Fire-ass chillstep remix. Love the clipped vocals and mellifluous beats. Lose your breath to this. +++

Parting Ways, My Way - Retrotation A friend sent this to me. I have no idea what it is or where it came from, so behold the soundcloud description: "The Parting Ways EP is about 3 artists coming together and each making their own beat to a single melody...this track in particular is inspired by Studio Ghibli (creator of Spirited Away, Princes Mononoke, etc.) Soon to be released on Vynl, all proceeds are donated to help Japan rebuild!" Ha. It's good.

And now for Tyler the Creator's new album. Much angier than Bastard, nikkkuhh. Shit was leaked about a week ago but fuck that.
Behold a sampler, and then some.
