Get it Edie.
We Own the Night feat Luciana – Tiesto vs Wolfgang Gartner Um, can I get a FUCK YES? Tiesto and Wolfgang go to town with this crowd-pleasing banger. I mean, imagine hearing this live! I'd go absolutely fucking nuts. Throw Luciana's vocals in there, and you got yourself a new party anthem.
Language (No Body Remix) – Porter Robinson Standard fare from Porter — an amazing combination of euphoric progressive beats laid over some of the dirtiest drops in the scene. And I gotta say, electro house has to be my all-time favorite genre in EDM: thanks in part to him. The kid's got it down to an art form, and he goes even harder than usual with some glitchy vibes in this one. Enjoy.
Squad Up (Clockwork Vocal Edit) – Clockwork Muthaf*ckin massive. Well, you heard the man: Raise your hands up!
Breakin’ the Doors – Kap Slap This post just would not be complete without a seriously dope mashup from the one and only Kap Slap. The guy combines so much sound in one epic jam — Florence's You've Got the Love, the infamous No Beef from Steve Aoki & Afrojack (if you never saw the video, you've been missing out!), Let's Go: a new release from Ne-Yo and Calvin Harris, crowd favorite Give Me Everything Tonight, and of course Breakin' a Sweat by Zedd, along with many more. C'mon baby, light my fire. :)
Cocaine (No Big Deal Remix) – Eric Clapton Three words: Seriously. Badass. Tune. I have been searching for a remix this huge for years. No big deal or anything. ;)
Years (Vocal Mix) – Alesso An anthem for our times: it's just impossible not to love.
Rolling Stone T-Shirt (Cazzette Approaching Starry Homes Mix) – Dada Life You just can't help but feel a huge grin spread across your face when you hear this. Ultimate party beats. Thank you Dada Life! + Cazzette has yet to disappoint: it's like each remix just gets filthier and filthier. A fucking men.
Leave the Lights On (Morgan Page Remix) – Meiko Pretty much obsessed. Her sweet voice draws you in, then Morgan Page does you dirty, unleashing a torrent of grimy sound.
Diet Mountain Dew (Tommy Noble Remix) – Lana Del Rey Because I’m absolutely head over heels for this supernaturally beautiful human being, and because I’d marry her in an instant. Showcasing Lana Del Rey’s trademark gorgeous vocals, this release starts off pleasingly slow and melodic, mixes in a touch of pianissimo and finally drops that heavy drum and bass sound all my lil bass heads know and love. Perfection, just perfection.
Shining Sun is the Way (Koyote Bootleg) - Wolfgang Gartner vs. Bob Marley An oldie, but I figured I'd throw this up here for shits and giggles...and for 4/20 festivities, of course! To all my Cali/San Francisco homies, hope to see you all at Hippie Hill tomorrow celebrating. ;p
Speaking of San Fran, if you're in the city tonight come out for TORQ Thursdays with Mt. Eden at Ruby Skye!! Epic dubstep/drum and bass take over tonight. Don't miss out!
Sending good vibes as always!
~ Kimmy's Got Bass
If I wasn't still recovering from Coachella I'd check out Ruby. They always pull in great talent, but they need a serious production upgrade.
